Last Update Before out Move!

We had our FRG (boat) Christmas Party last night. It was a potluck dinner, and of course our special guest was Santa! Zac wouldn't sit on Santa's lap.
Zac still isn't sure of Santa, and Seth is being silly.

It snowed this morning! Seth was so excited to get out there right when the sun started to come up, so there still wasn't a lot of light. By the time we went in Seth had gotten all of the snow off that table. He loves throwing snowballs.

Zac loved running in the snow, but if he fell and his hands touched to cold he would scream! I have gloves forhim, but he would let me put them on. Maybe next time.

This will be my last blog for probably a month or so. We should be getting to NV on New Year's Eve! And then off to Connecticut by the 13th of January. Have a Merry Christmas everyone!!

Quick Update!

As everything stands right now we will be leaving Washington on December 29th! So cross your fingers and hope Ryan's command doesn't screw things up like they always seem to do.

Ryan has left for see again. This will be his last patrol for at least three years. He is re-enlisting at the end of the year for another 4 years. Three of which we know will be served in Connecticut. Our move is getting closer and closer and lucky me I get to do most of it by myself. I haven't been the best at taking pictures lately, but hope to get some really good ones before the holidays.

Happy Birthday Seth!

Seth drew the face on and Ryan carved the pumkin last Friday for our boat jackolattern contest.

Pumpkin carving! We still have two more to go, hopefully tomorrow they will get done.

Zac wasn't sure what to think about the pumpkin, but I think he was super happy to finally be on top of the table!

These pics are backwards, but here is the remote control turantula that Seth got for his birthday. We only gave him one present now because he is having a small party on Saturday.

Been Busy!

Sorry I haven't posted any pictures this last week. Seth had an ear infection last week which took up a lot of time. I am also getting a lot of our moving stuff done this week. I hope to be less busy after the Halloween party for the boat this Friday that I am helping with. The good news is that Ryan will be checking out of the command on December 29th, so we should be moving within a week after.

Shiftwork : (

Ryan started shiftwork today and has the night shift. The boys did pretty well at staying downstairs and not bothering him while he slept today. It was sunny today, so we played outside for couple hours too!

This is the top bunkbed! Zac loves to climb the ladder and play up there. Of course only when I'm right there.

Isn't he adorable when he sleeps? Zac has been a handfull this week. All he wants is to be held all day long. Which would be fine if he'd sit still when you held him.

Walking!

I got these two videos of Zac the other day! For the past couple weeks housing has been painting base housing to look "new" again. They chose the ugliest colors. Mustard Yellow, Pea Soup Green, Terra Cotta, and this really dark green. We were somewhat relieved yesterday when they painted ours khaki. It's not pretty, but not ugly either. Just plain. Across the way is the really dark green. At night it looks like we live next to a black hole. Still not sure exactly when we will be moving, but hope to know at the end of the week!

I'm Still Alive!

So I've been really busy this week and have taken no pictures. I did try to get video of Zac walking several times, but as usual I'm going to have to be sneaky. I hope to get some soon while he still stumbles a little. We are all doing well and I hope everyonw had a wonderful weekend!

He's Back!!!

Ok, so I a little late at posting this. Ryan's boat came back on Friday, however Ryan had duty, so we did not see him until Saturday! We are so happy to have him home even if his work schedule will be busy until we transfer. Here are some pictures I took at the park while waiting to see the boat come in.

WE HAVE ORDERS!!!!!

I got an e-mail from from this morning and it is official. We have to be in Groton, CT by January 22nd. It's exciting to finally be getting off of the boat! It's not so exciting that we'll be moving in the winter - YUCK! I'll have a lot more information when Ryan gets back from sea.

How did these boys get so cute?

The other night I was watching one of my chick flicks. Zac was already asleep for the night, so I told Seth he could watch one of his movies upstairs while he waited for me to be ready to read him a story. Thirty minutes later when I went up there this is how I found him on Daddy's pillow.

I don't even know where he found the white hat. I think it was on a shelf somewhere.
I'm still trying to get a "standing picture." This is how one of my attempts turned out. He's such a cutie. Zac took four steps today. It was exciting to see and yet he needs to wait just a little longer to finish learning when daddy gets back. I guess we'll just have to cross our fingers. I have gotten some e-mails from Ryan. He is keeping super busy and has also lost weight like he wanted to. He's been exercising everyday. In case you were wondering they have a mini gym which is if I remember correctly a couple of treadmills and weights stuff in between missile tubes.

Seth's First Day of Preschool!

Yesterday was Seth's first day of preschool. His teachers are Miss Letty and Miss Debbie. He had a lot of fun. When I asked him what they learned he said, " There was a Big Bear and a little mouse and a Big Strawberry!"
Seth has been collecting rocks to go throw in the "water where Daddy's boat goes". It was really nice yesterday, so we finally made it out there again.

Of course I was trying to be sneaky and get a picture of just Zac while Seth was playing with another little boy. I had just got my camera turned on when he jumped in posing. This is one of them playing together in the same spot. I also keep trying to get a picture of Zac standing on his own, which he is really good at, he always sits down just as I get the camera too.

Just Passing Time

I found Seth in the car seat yesterday. I was snuggled up in it more, but of course once the camera came out he had to pose.
Zac looks really sweet, right? He's just happy because that cell phone is permanently his. He found it on the couch yesterday, and when came in and took it away, drool was dripping out of it. Yup it doesn't work anymore. Luckily we still had Ryan's old phone. Unfortunatley for me, he gave it to Seth. When the lady at Verizon said she couldn't fi mine and I asked Seth for the blue phone, he had the biggest tantrum. He cried the entire time and on the way home to because now he has to share his phone. He's finally agreed that I can use for "a little while."

Just Another Day!

Zac had his 9 month check up. He's now 22 lbs. And 30 Inches tall. However I'm not sure the guy measured the height right, so I'll have to do it here at home later. Seth wanted to dress up in camo with Zac. Aren't they cute? I got some e-mails from Ryan on Tuesday also. He is doing fine. He's been really busy. We still don't have definate orders, but when we do I'm sure you'll all here about it.

Sleeping in Living Room

On Satruday Seth asked me if he could sleep downstairs. I told him yes thinking he'd sleep on the couch, but then he asked if Zac and I would sleep downstairs with him. So we blew up Seth's air bed, and set up the living room. Seth and Zac went crazy. They were climbing all over the cushions that I put on the floor for Zac to sleep on. It is so exciting to see how much Zac interacts and plays with Seth.
This is where Zac slept. It's the couch cushions on the floor next to the couch. He rolled onto the pillows on the left in the middle of the night.

Earlier we played with playdoh. Seth loved the "spaghetti" maker. We are all doing good. Just trying to make time go by faster while Ryan is gone.
